News from our Corner!

Howdy ya'll! :)
We had a big week last week with revival at our church with our former pastor Bryan, and Rhoda Line and 4 kids! We had nice visits with them and got a couple projects done while they were here. One was ironing and hanging new curtains in the church sanctuary! Rhoda helped me do that job and the younger girls helped take the old ones down!
We had some good services with people seeking the Lord at the altar! Thank the Lord for His Presence, and all His help! Enjoyed hearing Pastor Bryan preach and his evangelistic way, and enjoyed their kids singing! They are such a nice Christian family! The messages he brought before us were really good. I"ll post a couple topics here. One was about "Having water in our spirital wells", and another "Righteousness Matters". Sunday night's was about Removing Offenses (doing your spiritual homework).
On to some other news here as well.
Carlin is growin up and daddy's been saying how he "talks" to him (when Hansel is talking to him he'll jabber something or make cute sounds)! He's been doing that cute baby jabbering more recently! I tell ya what he is a very busy boy, on the GO ALOT!
Interesting news here, today one of our church folk called us and was along the road by a 7 or 8 point buck that was roadkill and was dead with fresh blood and he didn't wanna leave it cause it was alot of meat to eat! So he got it in his vehicle and brought it here cut it open in our garage and took the innards out (or whatever), the good meat was left inside the deer and Hansel eventually took it to a processing place, they are gonna split it with us, which is very nice of them to do that, so we'll eventually be having deer meat at our place. I'll have to get some recipes to cook it, cause I have never cooked deer meat before. Any good ones out there to share with me? (Our two golden retrievers enjoyed tasting some RAW meat from the deer today).

Carlin Update!

I took Carlin to the doctor today for his checkup and he is 31 and a half inches long and weighs 25 pounds! He's healthy and doing good. He didn't like the doctor tho and the nurse measuring his head too! And of course the shots were hard for him. He had to get 3 of them. But not long after he was fine. He's walking all around now and can move pretty fast! Sure is growing up. He's such a blessing and highlight in our lives! What an amazing gift from God!
This morning we had an interesting incident too before the doctor's apt. He went stinky in the tub and it wasn't a tiny bit either. Ugg.. I pulled him out of the tub pretty quick and got his toys out! This mommy gagged trying to clean it up! We made it though.
